Picture you being on a highway with a lot of traffic. You can only go as fast as the traffic in your pathway will allow you. Waiting is essential and how long you wait depends on the speed of the traffic. This is an analogy of the way traffic travels on the Internet. Just like on a busy highway, traffic is shared by other users of the Internet. Ares software application cuts the traffic in may ways.  In a situation such as the above scenario,  there is no way around and no detours. Bandwidth or the amount of data that can be transferred at one time, is used up quickly when transferring files.
