I am currently learning how much pets really cost.
In our family we used to share the bills genrated by our delightful cat for food and vet visits. Our son used to pay the vet and my wife and I would buy the food.
For quite a time, our boy was on the winning side of this ledger, because our cat was quiet and kept to himself. There were very few visits to the vet. If anything, just for de-worming and some routine injections. So most money went on food.
Then a year ago the vet asked us to give the cat special food so he would lose weight. Food began to cost more.
Last weekend our son went to another city to start university, and from this week we are going to pay vet bills as well as food.
Actually, these bills have already started to come our way. The cat was attacked a couple of weeks ago and his ear has badly ripped. That required two visits to the neighbourhood vet and a week of antibiotics.
With all this money and attention we’re lavishing on our pet, we would definitely use a professional pet mover to transport him if we moved house any sort of long distance.
