I Choose Restaurants By Their Mood
One of the things my husband and I have agreed to disagree on is restaurants. He could care less whether he is sitting in a damp cellar with a single bulb overhead, as long as the food is good. For me Restaurant lighting design is important. It matters to me whether the place feels warm and inviting or cold and sterile. I care whether I am viewing other diners under the glare of a spotlight-like lamp or cosy, soft lights which flatter. We decided that I would choose where we eat. Even if the food is only average, when the atmosphere is right, dinner feels like a feast, even to my husband.
