If you really want to manage your time effectively you will need to make a time plan for each day. To truly get the most from your day you need to have a clear idea of how you are going to spend each hour.  Before you start your day you should write down all the things you need to do and set a specific time to get each thing done. This will only take you five or ten minutes and will give you focus and direction as you begin your day and improve your personal time management.  First you should write down the things that need to be done at a specific time and allocate the time needed to do them. Then you can slot the other things you need to do, both at work and at home, into the available time left. Divide your work time into blocks that suit your own attention span. Do this each day and you will have taken a big step towards managing your time effectively.
