The Different Car Classifications

Thursday, June 19th, 2008

I have learned so many stuffs about cars these past few days. And one thing I learned is about the new car classifications. Then, you can just classify cars based on their type like if it’s a car, a truck, a pick up truck, or an SUV. But now, there are the different car classifications based on what resource they use to run.

You car can be classified as a petro-car, a hybrid-vehicle, or a petro-free car. Your car is a petro-car if this use only petroleum products and biofuels like biobutanol or biodiesel. Meanwhile, you can say your car is a hybrid if it uses petroleum products and other sources like electricity. Petro-free cars are those which are not using any petroleum products. This type of cars runs only with electricity and water. So if you want to run your car on water, then you want your car to be converted to a petro-free car. I’m just happy to learn about that new thing here and share it with you.

General Motors of Canada announced that it would be closing down its Oshawa truck plant in 2009, effectively laying off about 2,600 workers. GM has said rising fuel costs have forced them to downsize production on some of their gas-guzzling vehicles. Currently a protest against General Motors is entering its second week as hundreds of workers continued to form a blockade around the company’s Oshawa headquarters. With the rising fuel costs and more North American auto maker plants closing this could change the auto industry significantly. Many drivers are already opting to buy more fuel efficient smaller vehicles and are increasingly buying used autos and cars that fall into the same category. Such as the fuel efficient used Toyotas and Hondas.

Testing an Auto Dealer Auction Car

Saturday, June 14th, 2008

Most auto auctions will let you open a vehicle up, get inside, turn the car on and they may even let you change the gears, but most will not let you drive the car.  There seems to be a problem with liability damages or insurance issues that reffrain them from letting you drive the car around.  You can see the car being driven when the handler drives the car up to the auction front.  At some car dealer auctions they have certain limited warranties, like a two or three day warranty, in which you can return the car if you are not happy with it.

Purposes of a Gas Mileage Chart

Friday, June 13th, 2008

For consumers trying to determine the best vehicle for their needs it can often be extremely confusing hopping from website to website in the search of your desired information. Making a gas mileage chart is one of the best ways to quickly and easily compare gas mileage of vehicles that you are interested in, from a single location. This can allow you to spend your time looking at new information, rather than just looking back and forth for the gas mileage again each time you forget it.

Supremacy of Ford in South Africa

Tuesday, June 10th, 2008

In continent of Africa, ford vehicles have been frequently used especially in South African. Market was successfully captured where company’s Pick-ups and Mazdas were felt convenient to be used. Company enjoyed a considerable hegemony on South Africa while importing kits from Canada and assembling it on its facility in Port Elizabeth. This monopoly remained till 1988 when worldwide condemnation of apartheid took place. Company divested from South Africa and sold its stake in Samcor with a permission to continue using brand name but low-quality Mazda production forced company to purchase 45 per cent stake after demise of apartheid in 1994. Company once again enjoys sole supremacy in South African market.

Can You Really Run A Car On Water?

Tuesday, June 3rd, 2008

No, I wasn’t dreaming and I hadn’t had a drink for days but my car mechanic was telling me it is possible to run a car on water. He explained that he didn’t mean filling the tank with water but you could break water down into it’s component parts of hydrogen and oxygen and then add them to the fuel /air mixture your car runs on.

It sounded very technical but he showed me a diagram of how simple it really is. I was astonished. How could it be so easy and why are we not all doing this already? It may be because the price of gas used to be pretty cheap but now it is so expensive this sort of hydrogen generator is well worth trying in my opinion.

When my mechanic has sorted out his own car I may get him to do the same for mine and maybe save a few dollars on gas savings from using water for fuel.

Fuel power from water

Wednesday, May 28th, 2008

Yes, fuel from power. It has always been possible. For years this technology has been available but never practiced till fuel prices rose to very high levels. Now every motorist has the incentive to look into this system now. The process is very simple – a hydrogen converter is attached to your engine and that extracts the gas fro the engine.

Hydrogen gas is as inflammable as gasoline. You will have the same engine power and you will even have a cleaner engine and more miles for your money. run your car on water for more control over your fuel bills. You will have the added advantage of a quieter and more efficient engine.

Hey! Do you want to run your car on water? Then you will be relieved to know that it is actually possible, and doesn’t necessarily take that much effort. It will take some time and money, like anything else. But the benefits you get make it well worth it. I have heard from other people that you can potentially double your mileage, as well as save quite a lot of money on gas. If you look at the savings over the period of about one year, they come to a heck of a lot. So it is definitely worth converting your car.

Moving Truck Rental: A Primer

Saturday, May 10th, 2008

There are many companies offering haulage package deals to suit your moving truck rental needs. How then do you choose the company that is most suited to your requirements? Do you go for the cheapest offer? Well, such an approach may be a wise one as it is a buyer’s market today and you can use the money thus saved for other purposes. Before fixing up a company, ask around your friends and neighbors for credentials and if the feedback that you receive is generally good, go for the deal. Please pay attention to the fine print for any special clauses that the company has put in regarding restricted items etc. before you sign the contract.
