I have a friend who became addicted to anti depressants.  She first suffered from depression following the birth of her second child and she was really bad.  Her doctor prescribed the medication for her but I don’t think she was aware that she could become addicted to them.  She is now recovering from drug addiction and her depression is under control with different medication and regular counselling.  Her children have grown up and are well balanced and gregarious people, so she has done a very good job there even with the awful problems that depression brought.  I take her out walking regularly and we have a good laugh along the way.
