Most people have many different kinds of carpets in their homes. Some rooms will have shaggy, thick carpets while others will be outfitted with lower burbur. And perhaps the finished rec room in the basement has an indoor/outdoor carpet for more durability. It this describes your home then you really need one of the adjustable height vacuum cleaners. These work great as you can set the height all the way up for those thicker carpets, then lower them down for the thin carpets. Your rollers will last much longer and you won’t be straining the motor on the vacuum as it tries to chug through something that is just too thick. Additionally, your carpets will be much cleaner if you set the proper height when vacuuming. There is an optimal distance between the bottom of the machine and the top of the carpet. If you follow the manufacturers recommendations when setting this height you will be rewarded with an easier working, more efficient vacuum that successfully does its’ job.
