When my dad retired, my husband and I took over the horse rental business he had owned and operated for fifteen years. We loved the way my dad ran the business, and have not changed anything on the business side of things. We have, however, made a few changes in the facilities. One change was installing small bathtubs: one in the mudroom on the house, one in the entry of the tack shed, and one in the building where we keep medications and such. I hated the mud and horse poop that was always tracked through the house and tack shed, and we just needed a decent place to fill buckets in the med building. I’m sure we’ll eventually make other changes, but the tubs are all for now.
