It is not secret that even before this technology was make commercial, there are many people doing it underground. Initially, customizing your own coffee pods for single cup coffee maker is illegal and unethical. But, with intense competition and consumers voicing that they prefer to have more range of coffee, the manufacturers allows other brands of coffee to be used on their machines, this has led to the emergence of devices like perfect pod maker. Such devices requires you to only add in the coffee blend you like, press a button to seal it and you can almost used it on any single cup coffee maker, I used the word almost, because there are still some brands which do not accept customized pods.
