My husband has an electric sander but for the smaller project that I have to do I will be sanding wood with sandpaper. I am refinishing an old rocking chair and I need to use some fine sand paper to take off the finish on the chair and prep it to accept paint. The baby’s new room needs a rocker and I want it to be painted and not stained. The home improvement store recommended the grade of sandpaper I should use and explained that I need to use soft and even strokes when sanding. they said not to stay on one spot too long or I could do some damage.
