My boyfriend and I split up. He drained ourjoint checking account before he left town. I was not aware of this fact, and I wrote several checks that were returned for insufficient funds. I didn’t have the money to straighten out the problem right away, so the checking account was closed. When I went to another bank to open an individual account, I was denied the privilege. I am opening a 2nd chance checking account. I will be able to once again have a checking account, even though a bank will not allow me to have one.
