Is crate training puppies the best way to housebreak them? I have heard that it is. I am getting a new puppy soon, and I need to know the best way to housebreak a puppy. Many people have said that crate training is effective. The puppy is kept in a crate when it is indoors, and as soon as the puppy is removed from the crate, it is taken outdoors to go to the bathroom. I haven’t had a puppy since I was a child, and my parents didn’t crate train him. It took a long time to get him housebroken.
