Finding the WAFCU in You

VoIP stands for Voice over Internet protocol. When the Internet first started, only text data is able to move through the protocol. Then developers started thinking of the possibility of transferring voice (instead of just text) over the Internet. This is made possible with the invention of special software and/or hardware. All that is needed, is a way to convert voice into digital data, transfer it over the Internet, search cell phone directory and then convert the data back to voice format. That means whoever wishes to use VoIP will have to have special software or hardware installed. VoIP services are not just for businesses. Customers can use them for personal use as well.
